North Broward Medical Center is the areas only comprehensive stroke center and designated as such by JACHO.  This is the home of Nora Uhrig, stroke coordinator. North West Medical Center One of the fine hospitals in Broward County, NWMC is one of the areas primary stroke centers and the home of Debra Salzman, stroke coordinator.  Broward General Medical Center The largest of the 4 north broward hospital district facilities.  It is the areas comprehensive trauma and pediatric care center.  It is also a primary stroke center.      Holy Cross Medical Center This is another vanguard of our local health care system.  HCMS is a well established organization that has provided a high standard of care that many organizations attempt to emulate.  HCMC is also a primary stroke center. Forming Alliances We are excited in the anticipation of forming and holding an alliance with our sisters and brothers of the The Broward Stoke Council and the AACN that will be mutually beneficial.  Many of the GCC members are also BCC and PBCC members, or atleast AACN members.  Many of our GCC/AANN members are involved with the Broward Stroke Counsel.  We are looking forward to our anticipated alliance with the Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical Nurses Chapters in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
